It’s finally here. If you weren’t already following our Droid X announcement liveblog earlier, it’s worth taking a look at. For those still unfamiliar with the phone, it features a 4.3 inch screen, a 1GHz processor, a 3G Mobile Hotspot for 5 users, 8GB of internal storage, microSD expansion, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Skype Mobile, 8 megapixel camera, 720p video recording, HDMI output, and much more. With contenders such as the Apple iPhone 4 and the HTC EVO 4G, the Droid X faces some heavy competition. We’ve got an awesome infographic and a full in-depth review in the works, but until then checkout our Motorola Droid X gallery:
And for a bonus, I also have two images of the HTC EVO 4G besides the Motorola Droid X. And in case anyone is wondering, no, the EVO doesn’t have a glossy back-side coat. Due to my paranoid nature, it’s covered with a Zagg InvisibleShield. The Droid X is a bit taller, but just about as wide as the EVO 4G. In terms of thickness, due to the odd bulging back side of the Droid X, the upper portion ends up being thicker, while the lower portion is thinner than the EVO when placed on a flat surface.

htc v motorola which is better. I like how the HTC EVO is designed to bad its not on Verizon? I am looking forward to reading you review about the droid x. I was hoping that you would give me a personal recommendation as to weather i should wait for the droid x or just get the incredible once you’ve finished your review on verizon’s latest. THANK YOU :)
Ana, I can right off the bat say that the Droid X, unless it has a major flaw, is better than the Droid Incredible. If you have a chance to read our Incredible review, I stated that it would get outdated quickly even though it was a good phone. And it did because of the EVO. Now the best Verizon replacement for the Incredible is undoubtedly the Droid X at this moment.
You’ll unfortunately have to wait a few weeks, but it’s one solid phone. It feels much like the HTC EVO, similar size and specs. And if you look at our infographic, you’ll see the further comparisons.
But other than that, I’ll have a full review published in the coming days, so stay tuned. Thanks for reading Skatter Tech!
