Android is on a roll. The relatively young mobile operating system by Google just overtook iPhone sales figures last month. Android fanboys (and fangirls) are already emerging even though the major Froyo v2.2 update hasn’t even been made available for most devices just yet (except Nexus One). The Droid Incredible is one of HTC’s best packages and Verizon’s best smartphone. And it’s selling out quicker than it’s getting stocked. Then comes the HTC EVO 4G. It’s one of the most revolutionary phones for the U.S. Market as it sports 4G mobile broadband, a front-facing camera for video chat, an 8 person mobile hotspot feature, and an overly large 4.3 inch display. As with any gadget, there are pros and cons. We hope that this infographic can help seal the deal on helping you decide which phone is best for you.
If you haven’t read our review of Verizon’s HTC Droid Incredible, it’s worth a read. We were lucky enough to pick up a HTC EVO 4G at Google I/O 2010 and although our full in-dpeth review isn’t yet published, we have posted some great high-resolution product shots.
UPDATE: EVO 4G vs. iPhone 4 vs. Droid X Infographic here!
Both phones are for the most part similarly matched. While the HTC EVO has an edge due to its 4G compatibility, coverage is limited to just 32 cities at the moment. While the EVO’s large screen is a plus, it might be a bit bulky for some. The Droid Incredible offers a competitive advantage with 8GB internal storage, which when paired with a 32GB microSD card offers more storage capacity than the HTC EVO. Verizon Wireless does arguably offer the best cellular coverage nationwide and the largest customer base; however, their pricing plans are more expensive than Sprint’s rates. Then again, the EVO does offer Skype Mobile Video Chat, 720p video recordings, and HDMI output. Deciding between these two phones might be a clear-cut decision for some but a hard choice for others; however I’ll assure you one thing: neither phone will disappoint. So, the big question, which one are you buying?

OK whoever is saying that the incredible is better is obviously not checking everything out. The evo has better hardware a bigger screen 2 cameras. and everything else droid has with the same os as the droid, and to complain about the weight is ridiculous, i guess you didnt have any good complaints and just wanted to bitch about it cause your pissed that the incredible isnt better than the evo. as far as coverage goes verizon does have fantastic coverage but for the price of the plan its not worth it. On top of that verizon has by far the worst customer support i have ever dealt with. sprint gets excellent service where i live.
incredible has better screen. n rest of hardware is the same, wow now camera on front. how about complaining that evo doesnt have camera on side. stfu! idiot! incredible better for phone, evo better for multimedia
I beg to differ on the customer service part on Verizon. I just got my finicky LG Dare replaced under its extended warranty while I have an open order on an Incredible phone. They apparently cannot order a replacement phone while I have another phone on order (because the Incredible is backordered) so they would have to cancel it. But they were able to cut corners and still get me a working replacement phone while waiting for my Incredible. It was a really odd/rare situation and they were able to help me out. Verizon has excellent customer service. It really comes down to how good/expert the rep is. Sometimes they run out of solutions because the problem’s so convoluted, but they establish good rapport that doesn’t leave me pissed off/unsatisfied. As far as the cost of the plans for Verizon, I would say it’s reasonable considering it has better coverage and less dropped calls and txt messages than Sprint and all others. I was a Sprint customer for several years, and Verizon is definitely a step up from Sprint. Now, phone-wise, yes EVO does look better than the Incredible. It comes down to preferences. I prefer a smaller phone and better battery life. There is a slight difference in weight, I prefer less weight on my pocket.. one less coin weight to worry about. haha. I like that the EVO has a camera on the front so you can video chat, but I probably wouldn’t use it as much since I don’t think a lot of people video chat with their phones or computers at any time of the day. I can keep going but I just wanted to highlight these for now.
Ciao
Coverage is everything!!!! First and foremost this thing is a phone! My God, we are all so wrapped up in who’s di+k is bigger that we forget it is worthless with no signal!
Mugen power batteries just update the extended 1800mAh battery for EVO 4G and HTC Incredible,

The Evo reminds me of cell phones 20 years ago, where you had to have luggage to move it around. My goodness, put that in a kids pants and they WILL be on the ground! How big is too big? The EVO is too big. Good luck protecting a screen that big. Oh, and Sprint sucks, so any phone on a shitty network, is still shitty.
Dude i beleive that the choice of phone comes down to what company offers the better coverage to you. See i had to deal with Verizon for 2 years due to my contract but, i will give it up gladly for sprint. The coverage in my area for Verizon is about 1 bar with occasional jolts. Sprint will offer me full bars inside my house. Yes, the Evo is the better phone speck wise. It all will come down to which network you want.
Also i hate how everyone says that Sprint sucks even though they havent given it a try. I gave Verizon a long try and i can say that i was throughly dissapointed. Sprint is a faster network, provide better reception to alot of people, and they have the greatest phone out on the market today. So in short shut up and pick the company you like the best.
Also i was wondering does anyone think that the iphone4 is gonne even stand a chance to the new Android phones. I dont think that they will even stand a chance. Reply back to me i wanna hear others opinion.
I have the Droid Incredible, and I’m happy with it. I like the smaller, lighter size of it, and I never have issues with Verizon’s coverage area.
The pixel count on the screen is the same so looks better on Inc vs. EVO hands down. I currently have a Dare and miss a joystick for some games, also selecting some things online will be much easier. The Inc is “phone sized” and I can wear it on my belt easier. I haven’t felt the EVO, but I can tell with my eyes (those things right near my brain) that it is too big and too heavy to be holding to my ear (I get tired of holding my Dare sometimes) The EVO has a kickstand and front camera and HDMI, but I don’t care. When I watch movies, it’s on my 52″ in my LR, and when I do webcam chat it’s on my desktop. I have no Verizon signal in my home (very little anyway) but I don’t care I get great signal at work and driving almost anywhere I have to go while at work. I have a landline for home. As far as Mobile Hotspot, Verizon will be charging extra for that so would need to root the phone anyway to do it the “right” way. A near update will provide that service to the Inc as well as HD video recording. The 8GB internal memory is a big deal no matter how you look at it. Who doesn’t want 8GB more space on their phone? To me, the choice is simple. There’s my 2 cents.
Is it possible for me to buy an HTC EVO 4G phone direct from the USA?
If so,could you please give me a price in New Zealand dollars.
Thanks
